Cherokee Traveler's Greeting

I will draw the thorns from your feet
We will walk the White Path of Life together.
Like you were of my own blood,
I will love you.
I will wipe the tears from your eyes,
If your sorrow makes you cry.
When you are sad,
I will put your aching heart to rest.

I have seen several versions of this little prayer.
I hope you find my edited version of all pleasing.

Welcome, Hello or as I would say in Cherokee O'siyo (greetings)

I am Tsalagi (Cherokee). My heritage is Cherokee and English.. I was born in Hamilton,Ontario,Canada on December 9, 1933. My education includes a Masters degree in Business Administration, a graduate course in Computers, and I have training as an Accountant. My work history includes a Controller's position, a Cost Accounting Manager, the Treasurer of a company, a Hotel Manager, part-time teacher and Para-legal.

I am 5'9", a little overweight at 185 lbs. And have minor disability due to arthritus and car accident. I do not consider my disability major, however I do use a power wheelchair as I cannot walk any distance. I believe I am an intelligent, good looking (as some people have told me) senior

I am not a great sports fan, except for golf, snooker and darts, mostly as a spectator. I did [play a great deal of golf but that is now unmanageable. I do enjoy nature and a trip through the various parks for which I use my chair. I am divorced and widowed twice. My children are all grown and live on their own with their families.

My hobbies include watercolor painting, writing original prose, poetry and short stories. Some of my writing has been published. I enjoy music, mainly country, but also some soft rock and golden oldies music. I like dining out occasionally and a good movie or concert. There are a few good theater presentations and concerts I enjoy. I do not smoke but am an occasional social drinker.

At my age I consider that I am still pretty active. I do a great deal of volunteer work, enjoy the theatre, or a good tv program that is not all murder or sex. My selection in movies and TV tends to be more melodramatic and romantic, such as The Bridges of Madison County, I also enjoy working and surfing the net on my computer.

I am financially independent and am still doing a little para-legal work. At present I have my own apartment of which I am very proud and have decorated it very nicely. I collect small figurines, miniature oil lamps and other items. My two cats and my houseplants take up a good portion of my time.
