The Cherokee Writers' Page

by Douglas Gravestock

The Great White Owl wishes to encourage and show the writing talents of Native Americans who are of Tsalagi heritage. There is no charge for contributions to this web page. It is my intent to have a printing made of the writings, some legends, and songs Writers are invited to submit this type of work they think would be suitable. Naturally some of my own words are included. There are some duplicated articles that I cannot trace original source on so I have credited them to first submission unless copyrighted.

Take time to read some marvelous works and you will become familiar with the great talent of many Cherokee writers, the spirit and pride that is at the heart of their work. Do not worry about space. This is just volume one. Before I close and let you read the excellent writings, I must thank my nephew Bill (W&P Enterprises) for the work he has done on my domain and all pages. I also invite all writers to join the Cherokee Nation Web Ring.
